It’s another day of distress in Hong Kong. History does run round in circles. However, much like the Earth’s rotation, when darkness descends upon one end, light emerges on the other. I guess I’ll see you all on the brighter side—somehow, someday, somewhere.

East winds portend drought.
The tree bends down on its roots—
Tangled, trapped and torn.

    1. Thank you, Lynn. It’s hard to live in grief daily, unless one chooses to embrace indifference. Nowadays calamities, conflicts and crises are bizarrely resembling the Revelation’s, aren’t they? All the more, we must maintain our hope. Your blessings and kind words are much appreciated and needed. I hope you’ve been well at your end of the world. And I can’t wait for the day when I’ll have settled down in the new normality so that I can reconnect with you all and read and write to my heart’s content.

  1. Hey, Collin! It’s been a while since I have read your poetry. I missed its elegance. I hope you are safe and well amidst these many crises.
