Little darling, don’t you know
That the heart you’ve snatched was mine?
Keep it with you; don’t let go.
Always, you’re my Valentine.
Frank’s prompt for this week’s dVerse’s MTB is to write a Tanaga, a heptasyllabic four-liner with a Tagalog origin, which is perfect for my lunch-break scribble. I’ve done two at one go. This one here is a little corny. (Sorry, can’t help it!) After being in a relationship for exactly eight years, I admit, unabashedly, that I have a new crush!
By the way, Pesach Sameach! (Or Happy Easter, to those who fancy chocolate and bunnies.)
